Tom Tripp must be one of the most talked about emerging acts of the past year.
Having featured on Mura Masa’s debut album earlier this year (an artist with whom he shares management, alongside rising R&B vocalist Nao), the producer/songwriter-turned-artist (who has attended writing camps for the likes of Rihanna and has opened his own “Prime Sound” studios in East London) has released his new single “Medusa”.
The buzz first started with Tripp uploaded a demo of his debut single “Aurelia” on SoundCloud in late-2016; this was then officially released and, to date, has garnered 1.5M streams on Spotify. Following the release of his hotly-tipped “RED” EP in 2017, his new single (released by Prime Sound, Polydor Records and Geffen Records) lines him up for “Ones to Watch” level of critical acclaim.
Fusing pop, R&B and funk seamlessly through his music – Tom Tripp is offering a new sound and a fresh vibe to the scene, and it’s only a matter of time before everyone else catches up.
