Nominations for the 2025 BRIT Awards were announced last month via Bring on The BRITs with Mastercard: The 2025 Nominations, an exclusive livestream hosted by Sian Welby on the BRITs Instagram and Facebook. 2025 nominees include Billie Eilish, Central Cee, Chappell Roan, Charli xcx, Dua Lipa, Ezra Collective, JADE, Michael Kiwanuka, Rachel Chinouriri, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, The Beatles, The Cure and more.

It was announced exclusively on the BRITs WhatsApp channel last week that Sabrina Carpenter will be presented with The BRITs Global Success award on the night, in recognition of her phenomenal global sales. It has also been revealed previously that Myles Smith is the winner of this year’s BRITs Rising Star award. The awards for BRITs Producer of the Year and BRITs Songwriter of the Year will be announced ahead of the show.

All other winners will be announced during the ceremony on Saturday 1st March at The O2 arena, broadcast exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player and hosted by Jack Whitehall. Harriet Rose and Munya Chawawa will present The BRITs 2025: The Warm-Up on ITV2 and ITVX on Thursday 27th February from 9pm. The award this year has been designed by multi-disciplinary artist Gabriel Moses.

This year, the partnership between The BRITs and Meta continues, and has seen the launch of the brand new BRITs WhatsApp channel, which is the first place to hear the biggest news about BRITs 2025. It will also see exclusive content published on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook throughout the BRITs campaign.

If Sam Fender’s debut album, 2019 Hypersonic Missiles introduced a smart, streetwise British songwriter with a penchant for euphoric hard-hitting guitar anthems, it was 2021’s peerless Seventeen Going Under that sent the Newcastle artist stratospheric. An acute observer, Fender turned the mirror not only on the streets he grew up walking, but on himself too. And if Seventeen Going Under was Sam’s “coming of age” record, his third, People Watching, is his next step forward – documenting colourful stories and observations of everyday characters living their everyday, but often extraordinary, lives. Introduced by the album’s anthemic, chest-swelling title-track, People Watching feels like another mighty leap  for one of Britain’s smartest, sharpest, and most accomplished songwriters of a generation.

In a world of instant gratification, Lola Young has found her own path to success. The South London singer-songwriter was nominated for the BRITs Rising Star award in 2021 and is now nominated for Best Pop Act at this year’s ceremony. Lola’s music isn’t just about storytelling—it’s about self-exploration in real time. Her songs dissect personal struggles, relationships, and moments of self-doubt, yet somehow feel universal, capturing the rawness of young adulthood in a way that cuts straight to the core. With razor-sharp wit and an ability to articulate emotions that many struggle to express, she turns personal moments into anthems that speak to all people and generations navigating today’s uncertainty. From an early age, Lola knew that music and performance were everything. She started writing music at just 11 years old, won a national open mic competition at 13, and went on to hone her craft at the BRIT School. Lola’s strong musical prowess partly comes from her dedication to fine-tuning her abilities as a performer and her resilience in knowing what she wants with her sound. Through her captivating filmed content and no-nonsense output on life, Lola has earned admirers across the music world, including the likes of Snoop Dogg, Tyler The Creator, Donald Glover, Ty Dolla $ign, Offset, Michael Stipe, SZA, Little Simz and Lily Allen. In December 2024, Island Records-signed Lola scored her debut appearance on the Official Singles Chart courtesy of breakthrough hit ‘Messy'; on 24th January 2025 ‘Messy' toppled Gracie Abrams to give Lola Young her first-ever UK Number 1 single, which spent a month on the top spot.

Mastercard will be celebrating their headline sponsorship which is now in its 27th year;  ITV remain as official broadcaster for the 32nd year, and The O2 arena will host The BRITs for its 14th year.

These long-standing partnerships will continue to support and amplify The BRITs’ vision and values, as the event maintains its fundraising for The BRIT Trust, the charitable arm of the awards, which gives grants to charities around the UK that draw on the power of music to promote education and well-being and improve lives, including The BRIT School and Nordoff and Robbins.

Mastercard also continues to partner with the BRIT School to support and celebrate the next generation of creative talent.
