The BRIT Awards 2020 with Mastercard today reveal that Sir Rod Stewart will be reprising a reunion of the Faces at next week’s show by inviting special guests Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones to be part of his closing performance.

The three musicians performed as the Faces at The BRIT Awards in 1993, along with Bill Wyman and the late Ian McLagan. Introduced on stage by Stewart as a ‘new band’, who went on to proclaim that ‘collectively there’s 234 years up here on stage’, Stewart was also honoured that year with the Outstanding Contribution award.

As previously announced, the multi-million selling British music icon joins Billie Eilish, Celeste, Dave, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Lizzo, Mabel and Stormzy to perform at the ceremony, which celebrates its 40th edition this year, and takes place Tuesday 18th February at The O2 Arena in London, exclusively broadcast on ITV, and hosted by Jack Whitehall.
