The BRIT Awards 2020 with Mastercard today announce that US pop phenomenon Lizzo and the chart-topping London rapper Dave will join the line-up for the UK’s biggest music show, taking place Tuesday 18th February at The O2 Arena in London.
The 2020 BRIT nominees join the previously announced Billie Eilish, Celeste, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Mabel and Stormzy to perform at the ceremony, which celebrates its 40th edition this year.
The three-time GRAMMY Award winner and TIME Magazine Entertainer of the Year Lizzo will bring her electrifying stage performance to this side of the Atlantic to play to her biggest UK TV audience to date. Her third album Cuz I Love You was released last Spring including the global viral hit ‘Truth Hurts’ ahead of her incendiary performance at Glastonbury in the summer. Lizzo is nominated for International Female Solo Artist.
Dave released his debut album Psychodrama last March. The album went straight to No. 1 in the UK album chart and became the most-streamed first-week debut album in the UK, with a slew of singles including ‘Black’, ‘Streatham’ and ‘Location’ ft Burna Boy. Critical acclaim followed commercial success as Psychodrama was then crowned the winner of the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize. Dave is nominated for four BRIT Awards; Male Solo Artist, Best New Artist, Song of the Year and the Mastercard Album of the Year.
The BRIT Awards 2020 with Mastercard take place Tuesday 18th February at The O2 Arena in London, broadcast exclusively on ITV and hosted by Jack Whitehall.
‘The BRITs at 40’ TV special will air on ITV on Tuesday 11th February, celebrating the 40th edition of The BRITs.
