It only takes a few moments of listening to Bess Atwell’s single “Swimming Pool” to know that there is something special happening.
Set to a bed of indie-rock inspired music, the single showcases Atwell’s haunting vocals as she intricately describes the thoughts going on in her head – “You are my swimming pool… you are the only one, who goes with me there”. Instrumentally she’s somewhere near Catfish & The Bottlemen, whilst vocally she represents the honest innocence of some of Adele’s earlier work.
