Chesterfield’s Casey Lowry is onto something.
The long haired indie rocker has toured with the likes of The Hunna and Coasts, charted at #2 on Spotify’s UK Viral Charts (with single ‘Trampoline’), the Top 40 on iTunes Singer-Songwriter Charts and gained support from BBC Radio 1.
Citing ‘The 1975’ as a major influence, on latest single ‘Up & Down’ he channels early-1975 sounds, mixing catchy guitar riffs with a solid beat. It’s indie but with a difference… with a real mainstream flair. On the song, he sings about being confused whilst being in love and how emotions can sometimes stray you away from the truth of the matter.
With a string of shows in the UK this Summer – including Liverpool’s Sound City and a show at the Camden Assembly in London; Casey Lowry should definitely be on everyone’s radar.
