BRITs 2010 with MasterCard is now officially sold out

    8. February 2010 14:19

With Tuesday 16th February just over a week away, the BRITs 30th Anniversary show is now completely sold out.  Our ticketing team are already turning down requests from music industry types and with the public sale of seats it’s a similar story.

Ticketmaster and See Tickets are given an allocation for the Balcony area to sell to the public.  The first few days of sales after the Nominations Launch party are held exclusively for those millions of people who hold a MasterCard. After that, all payment methods are accepted.

Over 5,000 guests will be invited to take their seats in the balcony area to watch the 8 multi-act show hosted by the legendary comedian Peter Kay.   Without giving too much away, we are already pushing the boundaries when it comes to technology.  Pyromania will hit Earls Court that evening – hopefully not affecting the National Grid – along with staging that will knock your socks off.   One set performance has never been seen or imagined before and will guarantee a jaw dropping moment for those watching on the night.

As it’s our 30th Anniversary, the BRITs team have gone to every effort to make sure this birthday is memorable.  Every previous Outstanding Contribution award recipient has been invited, so watch out for quite a few familiar faces in the audience that may have not been seen on national television for years.

The broadcast starts on ITV2 from 7.30pm where the frocks and glamour (and that’s just the boys!) will arrive on the red carpet to be critiqued.  The Main Show broadcast will be LIVE on ITV1 from 8pm - 10pm with the BRITs Encore keeping you going with all the gossip from backstage from 10pm – 10.30pm.

I can’t believe we’ve hit 30 years already.  It seems like only yesterday that it was BRITs 25 when the Scissor Sisters opened with their over-sized puppets and singing melons!  Tune in to see another set of memories unfold.
